What do you need to know about getting the most from the TrueNTH service and the best possible outcomes for your health? We’re glad you asked. Here are our top tips:
Dealing with prostate cancer is a team effort so there will be a bunch of contact numbers to keep handy, from your urologist to your oncologist to your TrueNTH Care Coordinator. Create a special group in your phone contacts or a folder on your computer desktop or just scribble them down and whack them on the fridge. This is no time to be stoic and go solo. Talking to folks who know about prostate cancer can make a massive difference to how you’re travelling.
Different men, different tumours. The treatment that is recommended for you might involve significant side effects or lasting changes to how your body functions. It’s a good idea to explore what might be in store so you can proceed without surprises. Our Treatment Options page provides details about how TrueNTH helps you.
There are things you can do, even before your treatment kicks off, to boost your chances of the best possible long term results. Maybe you need to lose a couple of kilos, or adjust what you’re smoking, eating or drinking. The key ingredients to getting ready for treatment will be in the Care Plan we put together for you, so check it out.
During and after your treatment, you might encounter problems with urinating or not being able to get (or keep) erections or feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. These are things we can help with. Your best bet is to tell one of your Care Team members (remember those numbers on the fridge?) so they can hook you up with expert assistance. Your Care Plan will also spell out things to do that we know make a real difference. If you login and update your progress, Care Team members will monitor how you’re doing and let you know what to do next.

Just as you would service and tune a race car before doing laps at Bathurst, you can take the same approach to your body. Eating well and keeping active before, during and after your treatment set you up for significantly better health outcomes. Our experts will talk you through what to do and the Care Plan will be a ripper reference tool, too.
